Christopher Kennedy was trapped inside the vehicle and had to be extricated by Richmond Fire Department crews

Richmond, IN. – 48-year-old Christopher Kennedy was killed in a car crash on Saturday night in Richmond.
According to the Richmond Police Department, the fatal collision happened near the intersection of Sim Hodgkin Parkway and Bridge Avenue.
27-year-old Billy Goodwin, of Richmond, was driving a blue Honda Civic when he lost control and crashed.
Kennedy was trapped inside the vehicle and had to be extricated by Richmond Fire Department crews before being taken to Reid Health, where he later died.
Goodwin fled the scene and was later arrested on multiple charges.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
