Christopher Edwards Identified as Man Killed in Crash on U.S. 40 in Terre Haute, Vigo County

Police said Edwards was heading north on Chamberlain Avenue, when he ran a red light and crashed into an SUV traveling west on U.S. 40.

Terre Haute, IN. – 42-year-old Christopher Edwards from Jasonville has been identified as the man killed in a traffic collision on Monday morning in Terre Haute, Vigo County.

According to the Vigo’s County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened at the U.S. 40 and Chamberlain Avenue intersection at around 8:55 a.m. on June 16.

Police said Edwards was heading north on Chamberlain Avenue, when he ran a red light and crashed into an SUV traveling west on U.S. 40.

The two vehicles spun and halted in a parking lot following the collision.

Edwards was killed in the accident. The SUV driver was hospitalized with injuries.

No additional information regarding this crash was provided.
