Charlotte County, FL. – Three people were injured in a Friday evening pedestrian accident in Charlotte County.
The accident happened on Sandhill Boulevard at around 7:56 p.m., according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
A Dodge Ram truck was traveling southbound on the street when it crashed into a parked car and hit three pedestrians.
The pedestrians, who were an adult and two children, were injured in the accident and were transported to area hospitals.
The driver fled the scene and was later located. He faces multiple charges of leaving a crash scene involving injuries, FHP said.
