Cass County, IN. – A 78-year-old man died in a two-vehicle crash on Friday afternoon in Cass County.
According to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened around 2 p.m. on State Road 29 at the US 24 ramp onto the Tyson Exchange.
A westbound 2017 Nissan Rogue driven by a 78-year-old man failed to yield the right of way to a 2020 Ford Transit van traveling south on SR 29, resulting in a collision.
The Nissan driver was transported to Parkview Logansport Hospital before being flown to a trauma center, where he succumbed to his injuries.
The 39-year-old Illinois man driving the Ford refused medical treatment.
More details about the accident were not released.
