Phoenix, AZ – An elderly woman was killed Saturday night in a two-vehicle collision in Central Phoenix, according to the police.
The deadly collision happened around 9:30 p.m. on August 16 at the intersection of 7th and Northern avenues.
Police said 92-year-old Carolyn Pain was driving a sedan northbound on 7th Avenue when she failed to yield while turning left on Northern and was hit by a tow truck.
Pain was taken to the hospital where she later died.
The driver of the tow truck, a man, and his two passengers, a teenage girl and an infant, were uninjured in the accident.
Impairment was not a factor in the accident.
The police are investigating the accident.
