Boone County, IN. – A woman was killed in a car accident in Boone County on Saturday night.
According to the Boone County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened around 5:09 p.m. at the intersection of U.S. Highway 421 and County Road 100 North.
The Greenwood woman was driving a blue pickup truck when she allowed it to veer off the roadway and crash into a tree.
The pickup truck caught fire after the collision.
The woman was taken to the hospital, where she later died.
More details about the accident were not released.
