Portland, OR – A bicyclist was injured Sunday morning in a hit-and-run accident in Portland, according to the police.
The accident occurred around 8:29 a.m. on August 10 on the Morrison Bridge.
Police said a man was riding a bicycle westbound in the left center lane of the bridge. All the westbound lanes were open to all traffic while the eastbound lane was closed for the Bridge Pedal. The man was then rear-ended by a vehicle and was knocked to the roadway.
The driver pulled over, stopped briefly, and then fled the scene.
The man was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect vehicle was described as a dirty white Toyota Tundra pickup 4-door crew cab, with black wheels, a black (or possibly missing) left side gas cap, and no license plates. It had objects in the truck bed. It might have damage to the front grille. The driver was described as possibly a middle-aged, taller, and bald white or Hispanic man.
The authorities are investigating the accident.
