Authorities said a Dodge pickup truck was heading west when the truck hit the bicyclist before fleeing north on Western Avenue.
Heart of Chicago, IL. – The Chicago Police Department is investigating a major hit-and-run bicycle accident that left a 59-year-old man with critical injuries on Saturday afternoon in the Heart of Chicago neighborhood.
The deadly collision occurred at about 3:13 p.m. on September 21 in the 2300 block of West 21st Street.
Authorities said a Dodge pickup truck was heading west when the truck hit the bicyclist before fleeing north on Western Avenue.
The man was taken to the hospital and was listed in a critical condition.
No one has been arrested in relation to the crash.
An investigation is ongoing.
