A vehicle was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes and crashed into an oncoming vehicle

Battle Ground, WA. – Two people were killed in a wrong-way collision near Battle Ground on Monday morning, according to Washington State Patrol (WSP).
The fatal collision happened at about 3:38 a.m. on Interstate 5 at milepost 11 near the Battle Ground exit south of Ridgefield.
WSP said a vehicle was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes and crashed into an oncoming vehicle.
Both drivers, a 40-year-old La Center woman and a 30-year-old Portland man, were killed in the accident.
The collision closed the northbound lanes of the interstate, but were reopened around 8:00 a.m.
WSP is investigating the accident.
