Five patients, including a trauma alert patient, were transported to an area hospital for treatment

Bartow, FL. – Five people were injured in a crash involving a Polk County Fire Rescue Battalion Chief’s vehicle on Sunday morning in Bartow.
According to police, the incident happened at the intersection of County Road 640 and Mimosa Avenue at around 10:40 a.m.
The Battalion chief was on an emergency call and had sirens and lights when he was involved in a crash.
Five patients, including a trauma alert patient, were transported to an area hospital for treatment.
The Battalion Chief was unhurt.
