Austin, IN. – A man died in a car accident on Sunday night in Austin, according to Indiana State Police.
The accident happened on the southbound Interstate 65 near mile marker 35 at around 11:25 p.m.
A pedestrian was walking in the area and was struck by a Ford Escape travelling southbound on I-65.
Police were able to locate the body of the Seymour man after the semi-truck driver called 911.
The 35-year-old man was transported to Scott Memorial Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
The two drivers remained at the scene and cooperated with the police.
More details about the accident were not released.
