At Least 1 Seriously Injured in Car Crash on Florida’s Turnpike in Stuart

Florida, FL. – At least one person sustained severe injuries following a single-vehicle accident on Monday morning in Stuart, Florida, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The accident happened at 7:19 a.m. on the southbound Turnpike just before Mile Marker 128.

Police said a single vehicle crashed in the area in unclear circumstances. 

The Martin County Fire Rescue Special Operations Team assisted with extrication while Lifestar with emergency transport.

All lanes were reopened by 8:28 a.m. and traffic remained backed up just before Exit 133.

No other details regarding this crash were provided.

An investigation is underway.
