Authorities said a witness reported one of the drivers appeared to be heading south on SW 147th Avenue possibly through a green light, when another vehicle drove from the opposite direction at high speed and crashed into him.

Miami-Dade, FL. – At least one person was hurt after a high-speed collision involving two vehicles early Thursday morning in Southwest Miami-Dade, according to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office (MDSO).
The accident happened at around 2:56 a.m. July 17 near SW 147th Avenue and SW 160th Street.
Authorities said a witness reported one of the drivers appeared to be heading south on SW 147th Avenue possibly through a green light, when another vehicle drove from the opposite direction at high speed and crashed into him.
The two drivers were described as male and they were all injured after the collision.
A palm tree was split in half, a street light damaged, a fence in a home shattered and a parked pickup parked in a nearby driveway damaged.
An investigation is underway.
