Collier County, FL. – At least one person was injured after a traffic collision on Saturday morning in Collier County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The accident occurred at 6:57 a.m. on June 20 on northbound I-75 near mile marker 86.
Troopers said a truck carrying sod was trying to avoid another vehicle that made an improper lane change. The 71-year-old man from Miami operating the truck lost control and the vehicle rolled over.
The driver was airlifted to the crash site with severe injuries.
The roadway was blocked following the crash. The lanes have since reopened.
