According to the Allen County Sheriff’s Department, the accident occurred at the intersection of Irving Road and Thimlar Road at around 6 a.m.
A woman in her 20s was driving a car eastbound on Irving Road when she drifted off the north side of the roadway in unclear circumstances.
The car hit an embankment before it went airborne and hit a tree.
The woman, who was the only occupant, succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
