Gilliam County, OR – A driver was killed after his vehicle crashed on Interstate 84 in Gilliam County on Tuesday last week.
The deadly crash happened on May 20, 2025, at 3:45 a.m. on Interstate 84, near milepost 148, in Gilliam County.
Authorities said Adam Hassan Ahmed Haroun (47) of Twin Falls (ID), was driving a Freightliner commercial motor vehicle and trailer westbound on I-84 when, for some reason, the vehicle left the roadway and struck a bridge pillar before catching fire.
Adam Haroun sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The highway was impacted for about 11 hours as crews and investigators worked at the scene.
The incident remains under investigation.
