Troopers said a golf cart operated by a 43-year-old Wesley Chapel man, was heading eastbound when it attempted to make a U-turn into the path of a Honda sedan traveling behind the golf cart. The two vehicles crashed causing the golf cart to roll over before coming to a halt later.

Wesley Chapel, FL. – Eight people were severely injured after a golf cart accident Saturday evening in Wesley Chapel, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The accident happened a while before 6:30 p.m. on March 15, on Elam Road near Callow Road Drive.
Troopers said a golf cart operated by a 43-year-old Wesley Chapel Man, was heading eastbound when it attempted to make a U-turn into the path of a Honda sedan traveling behind the golf cart. The two vehicles crashed causing the golf cart to roll over before coming to a halt later.
The Honda traveled onto the roadway shoulder and partially into a nearby pond before coming to a halt.
Eight golf cart people including the driver, a 43-year-old Wesley Chapel man, his wife and five children, and a 16-year-old neighbor sustained severe injuries due to the crash.
A 17-year-old girl driving the Honda and a 17-year-old female passenger were not hurt in the accident.
No one has been charged in relation to the accident
An investigation is underway.
