Indianapolis, IN – At least six people, including juveniles, were injured following a two-car traffic collision that occurred after a police chase on the Indianapolis’ east side, according to the Beech Grove Police Department.

Authorities said the crash happened at about 6:30 p.m. on May 10 at East Pleasant Run Parkway North Drive and South Sherman Drive.

Reportedly, Beech Grove PD officers initiated a police pursuit with a white Chevrolet Tahoe Saturday evening. The chase was ended after the pursuing officers determined that it was too risky.

A short time later, the Tahoe slammed into another car near the intersection at a residential area on the city’s east side near Christian Park.

That is a residential area on the city’s east side near Christian Park. Investigators said at least two suspects ran on foot from the Tahoe, but they were later detained.

According to the police, at least six people were injured in the crash. All patients had injuries of varying severity.

Police said some of the occupants of the Chevrolet were older juveniles. A firearm was reportedly found in the Tahoe.

Officers are investigating to determine if the Tahoe driver was impaired at the time of the crash.
