Deputies said the truck pulling a trailer was stopped in the lanes and was trying to make a turn into a field entrance of the West side of the road when the motorcycle crashed into the back of the trailer.

Eureka, IL. – A 42-year-old man from Bloomington was killed after a motorcycle accident on Monday morning near Eureka in Woodford County.
According to the Woodford County Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened around 8:10 a.m. on September 22 at Route 117 and County Road 500N.
Deputies said the truck pulling a trailer was stopped in the lanes and was trying to make a turn into a field entrance of the West side of the road when the motorcycle crashed into the back of the trailer.
The rider, the Bloomington man, was ejected from his bike. He was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead at 9:12 a.m.
The roadway was blocked following the collision. Route 117 was reopened a while before noon.
The Illinois State Police traffic crash reconstruction unit and the Woodford County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the collision.
