Cave Creek, AZ. – Six people were injured, four of them in critical condition late Saturday night near Cave Creek, according to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office.
The accident happened a while before 11:00 p.m. on May 16, near Carefree Highway and 12th Street.
Deputies said a pickup and a sedan were involved in the collision. The two vehicles were engulfed in flames causing extensive damage to the cars.
Six people were transported to a hospital for treatment. Four of them sustained critical burn injuries and were listed in a critical condition.
The collision closed Carefree Highway for several hours in both directions from 7th Street to 12th Street.
No further details regarding this crash were released.
