Police said a red Pontiac was traveling westbound while two pedestrians were walking westbound on the south sidewalk. The vehicle crossed the eastbound lane and drove westbound down the south sidewalk and struck two pedestrians.

Decatur, IL. – A 38-year-old woman and 29-year-old man were injured after a DUI pedestrian accident on Thursday night in Decatur, according to the Decatur Police Department.
The accident happened at about 9:49 p.m. on August 21, at West Man Street and Taylor Avenue.
Police said a red Pontiac was traveling westbound while two pedestrians were walking westbound on the south sidewalk. The vehicle crossed the eastbound lane and drove westbound down the south sidewalk and struck two pedestrians.
The 38-year-old woman was declared dead at the crash site. The man sustained life-threatening injuries and was rushed to an area hospital.
The involved driver, Issaih K. Flagg, 36, was arrested and booked into Macon County Jail on charges driving while license suspended, aggravated DUI causing death, aggravated DUI suspended driver’s license and aggravated DUI causing great bodily harm.
An investigation by Decatur Police Department’s Fatal Accident Investigation Team is ongoing.
