Sparks, NV. – Three people were injured in a collision involving a Nevada Highway Patrol trooper on Thursday morning in Sparks.

According to police, the accident happened around 8 a.m. near the intersection of Pyramid Highway and McCarran Boulevard.

A NHP trooper traveling southbound on Pyramid Highway had slowed down to enter the intersection when it was hit by an eastbound Toyota Tacoma.

The impact caused the truck to overturn.

The trooper, the female driver of the Tacoma, and her male passenger were transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
