Las Vegas, NV. – Three people were injured in a car accident on Monday morning in Las Vegas.

According to a report by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the accident happened around 1:30 a.m. at the intersection of Sahara Avenue and McLeod Drive.

A vehicle was traveling east on Sahara when it failed to stop for a red light at the intersection and crashed into the back of two vehicles that were stopped at the intersection.

The driver of the vehicle that hit the other vehicles was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.

Two people in the vehicles that were struck were hospitalized with serious injuries.

Police say the driver that rear-ended the other vehicles showed signs of impairment.

More details about the accident were not released.
