Ridgway, IL. – A major injury car accident that happened in Ridgway on Wednesday night.
According to the Illinois State Police, the accident happened around 9:32 p.m. at the intersection of Shawneetown New Haven Road and Ridgway New Haven Road.
A Chevrolet Silverado was traveling eastbound when the driver ran a stop sign and collided with a Chevrolet Malibu traveling northbound.
The drivers and a passenger involved in the accident were injured and were airlifted to the regional hospital for treatment.
