20-Year-Old Struck and Killed While Standing by Disabled Truck on International Speedway Boulevard in Volusia County

Troopers said the man alighted from his disabled vehicle that was partially blocking the outside westbound lane and was hit by a 2017 Ford F-250.

20-Year-Old Dies After Crash on International Speedway Boulevard near Red John Drive in Volusia County

Volusia County, FL. – A 20-year-old man of Spring Hill was killed after a traffic collision on Sunday night in Volusia County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

 The crash happened a while before 9:00 p.m. on September 21, on International Speedway Boulevard near Red John Drive. 

Troopers said the man was heading westbound in a 1997 Ford F-250 and blocking the outside westbound lane when he alighted from his disabled vehicle that was partially blocking the outside westbound lane. He was then hit by a 2017 Ford F-250.

The man was declared dead at the crash site.

The driver and passenger of the second truck, all 67-year-old DeLand residents, were not hurt in the crash.

No additional information concerning this crash was provided.

The incident remains under investigation.
