Police said a dune-buggy-style go-cart crashed for reasons still under investigation.
Peoria, IL. – Two people were severely hurt after a traffic collision involving a dune-buggy-style go-cart on Saturday morning in Peoria, according to the Peoria Police Department.
The accident occurred at about 10:10 a.m. on June 6, near 107th Avenue and Union Hills Drive.
Police said a dune-buggy-style go-cart crashed for reasons still under investigation.
The two persons occupying the cart were rushed to an area hospital by the Sun City Fire and Medical Department with severe injuries.
The patients are now awake and alert.
The roadway is now reopened after the accident.
An investigation is underway.
