Troopers confirmed a van was towing a trailer and was heading south on I-75 when the van swerved and the trailer veered. The driver, a 48-year-old man from Bradenton, tried to regain control driving off the roadway and the van rolled over on the right shoulder.

Sarasota, FL. – Two persons were severely hurt after a traffic collision on Monday afternoon in Sarasota, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The accident happened a while before 3:00 p.m. July 28 on I-75, just north of Bee Ridge Road.
Troopers confirmed a van was towing a trailer and was heading south on I-75 when the van swerved and the trailer veered. The driver, a 48-year-old man from Bradenton, tried to regain control driving off the roadway and the van rolled over on the right shoulder.
The driver and his passenger, a 31-year-old woman from Bradenton, were transported to Sarasota Memorial Hospital for treatment of severe injuries sustained in the collision.
Traffic delays were experienced in the area during the afternoon rush hour.
An investigation is ongoing.
