Lawrence, IN. – Two persons were severely hurt following a car accident early Sunday morning in Lawrence, according to the Lawrence Police Department.
The accident happened a while after 2:30 a.m. at Pendleton Pike and North Post Road.
Police said they came across a single vehicle car crash and the car was smoking.
The officials rushed to help the driver and passenger to safety before the vehicle burst into flames.
The driver and passenger sustained severe injuries and were taken to a local hospital. The two patients are both in a stable condition.
An investigation by the Lawrence Police Department Accident Investigation Team is ongoing.
