2 Pedestrians Injured in Pedestrian Accident on 27th Avenue in New Smyrna Beach

Troopers said a New Smyrna Beach Public Works employee was heading eastbound on 27th Avenue and was making a left turn onto South Atlantic Avenue when the car hit the two pedestrians who were in the crosswalk.

New Smyrna Beach, FL. – Two people were hospitalized after a pedestrian accident on Friday morning in New Smyrna Beach.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol the accident occurred on 27th Avenue and South Atlantic Avenue.

Troopers said a New Smyrna Beach Public Works employee was heading eastbound on 27th Avenue and was making a left turn onto South Atlantic Avenue when the car hit the two pedestrians who were in the crosswalk.

Responding emergency teams rushed the two pedestrians to the hospital for treatment.

The City of New Smyrna Beach is cooperating with the investigation.
