The accident happened in the 2700 block of W. 51st St. just after midnight.
A 22-year-old woman was driving a blue sedan when she rear-ended a marked CPD vehicle.
The impact of the collision caused the patrol vehicle to hit a semi-truck.
Two officers were taken to local hospitals.

A passenger in the blue sedan was taken to the University of Chicago Hospital in critical condition.
