Troopers said a 35-year-old man from Fort Myers was driving a 2025 Kia north on County Road 663 and was heading towards a stop sign at the intersection.

Hardee County, FL. – Two men from Southwest Florida were killed and another individual suffered critical injuries on Tuesday in Hardee County.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident happened east on State Road 64 and County Road 663.
Troopers said a 35-year-old man from Fort Myers was driving a 2025 Kia north on County Road 663 and was heading towards a stop sign at the intersection. The Kia did not yield the right of way and entered the intersection and its front crashed into a semi tractor trailer that was heading east on State Road 64.
The Kia male driver and a passenger, a 22-year-old man from Cape Coral, were declared dead at the crash site.
A second Kia passenger, a 25-year-old man from Fort Myers, suffered critical injuries and was taken to an area hospital.
The semi driver, a 75-year-old man from Wauchula, was not hurt in the collision.
No additional information concerning this crash was provided.
An investigation is underway.
