A vehicle was traveling westbound when it left the roadway and crashed into a tree
Seaside, OR. – A man and a woman were killed in a car crash near Seaside in Clatsop County on Friday evening.
The double-fatal crash happened on Highway 26 near milepost 8 at around 4 p.m., according to Oregon State Police.
74-year-old Richard Scott McIntosh of Seaside and his passenger, 72-year-old Michele Arnold McIntosh also of Seaside, were traveling westbound in a white Genesis GV70 when the vehicle left the roadway and crashed into a tree.
Richard was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
Michele was taken to the hospital, where she died while receiving treatment.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
