Police said a gray Hyundai Elantra operated by a 55-year-old woman of Sweet Home was heading westbound on Highway 34 when it hydroplaned and crossed into the eastbound lane. The Elantra crashed head-on into a blue BMW operated by a 31-year-old woman of Lebanon.

Linn County, OR. – Two people were killed after a head-on collision on Saturday evening in Linn County, according to the Oregon State Police.
The accident happened at about 6:43 p.m. on April 11, on Highway 34 near milepost 14.
Police said a gray Hyundai Elantra operated by a 55-year-old woman of Sweet Home was heading westbound on Highway 34 when it hydroplaned and crossed into the eastbound lane. The Elantra crashed head-on into a blue BMW operated by a 31-year-old woman of Lebanon.
A 35-year-old woman of Sweet Home and a Hyundai passenger was declared dead at the crash site.
The BMW driver was declared dead at the crash site.
The Hyundai driver was taken to a local hospital for treatment of severe injuries.
Traffic delays were experienced in the area for around four hours to give way to an on-scene investigation.
The Linn County Sheriff’s Office, Lebanon Fire Department and the Oregon Department of Transportation assisted the OSP at the scene.
The incident remains under investigation.
