Police said a vehicle was attempting to turn north onto Highland from eastbound 35th Street when it was struck by a vehicle heading south on Highland.
Downers Grove, IL. – Two people were killed and two others sustained severe injuries on Friday evening in Downers Grove, according to the Downers Grove Police Department.
The accident occurred a while before 7:00 p.m. on March 27, at the Highland Avenue and 35th Street intersection.
Police said a vehicle was attempting to turn north onto Highland from eastbound 35th Street when it was struck by a vehicle heading south on Highland.
The driver of the car turning was declared dead at the crash site.
A passenger in that same vehicle was rushed to Good Samaritan Hospital in a critical condition. They later succumbed to their injuries.
The driver and passenger in the second vehicle were rushed to a local hospital with severe injuries.
No additional details regarding this crash were provided.
