Troopers said a 24-year-old woman was driving a sedan northbound in the left lane of US-17 when another sedan turned left in front of her vehicle.

Jacksonville, FL. – Two people were killed after a two-vehicle accident on Thursday afternoon just north of NAS Jacksonville, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The accident occurred at about 12:50 p.m. on May 21 on Roosevelt Boulevard.
Troopers said a 24-year-old woman was driving a sedan northbound in the left lane of US-17 when another sedan turned left in front of her vehicle.
The 24-year-old woman’s sedan then hit the left side of the second sedan. The woman sustained minor injuries and was hospitalized.
The second sedan’s driver, a 66-year-old woman, and her passenger, a 78-year-old man, were taken to the hospital where they died.
The roadway was blocked from NAS Jacksonville and ends at Timuquana Road. At about 4:15 p.m. two lanes were opened.
An investigation is underway.
