Villa Park, IL. – Two women were injured in a head-on collision in Villa Park on Wednesday evening.
According to police, the accident happened around 6:30 p.m. on Westmore Avenue.
A 37-year-old woman was driving a car when she reportedly crossed into oncoming traffic and collided head-on with another car.
Two women in the second car were taken to an area hospital for treatment.
The 37-year-old woman attempted to run away from the scene, but was apprehended 10 minutes later. Police found two bottles of tequila in her car, and she was charged with DUI and failure to report an accident involving personal injury.
