Reno, NV. – Two people were injured in a car accident that happened on Thursday afternoon in Reno.

The crash occurred on I-80 West near Vista Boulevard at around 12:30 p.m., according to Nevada State Police.

A dump truck reportedly crashed on the freeway and spilled gravel on the highway. Traffic slowed down at the scene due to debris when a second semi-truck crashed into a Subaru and Ford F-450.

Two people were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

The dump truck driver was cited for an unsecured load of gravel.

The second truck driver was cited for due care and not avoiding the crash.
