Indianapolis, IN.- Two persons were injured after a three-vehicle collision on Wednesday afternoon in Indianapolis, according to the Indianapolis Fire Department.

The accident happened at about 12:44 p.m. in the 1300 block of W. 16th Street.

Fire officials said a dump truck crashed into two cars in unclear circumstances.

One of the vehicles rolled over while the truck overturned on its side following the collision.

The vehicle began to smoke as first responders rushed to assist the female driver out of the vehicle to safety.

The other two drivers managed to get out of their vehicles without help.

The dump truck driver was medically evaluated at the scene and released.

The other two motorists were taken to Methodist Hospital for treatment.

No other information regarding this crash was provided.
