2 Hospitalized After Vehicle Crash at Beltline and Coburg Roads in Eugene

Eugene, OR. – Two people were injured after a three-car accident on Thursday afternoon in Eugene, according to the Eugene Police Department.

The collision happened at 4:30 p.m. on May 7 at Coburg Road and Beltline Highway.

Police said an Audi A4, Chrysler TNC and a Toyota Corolla were involved in the accident. The Audi’s driver reportedly had a medical issue, drove against a red light and turned left northbound onto Coburg in the number two lane on a green light. The Chrysler then struck the Corolla operated by a 20-year-old female.

The Audi hit a metal crosswalk pole and sign before going off the roadway after the crash. All cars sustained extensive damage and had airbags deployed.

The 54-year-old male Audi driver and the 37-year-old female driver of the Chrysler van sustained non-life threatening injuries. The two were taken to an area hospital.

Three van’s occupants, ages 6 and 13, did not require to be transported to the hospital.

The Corolla driver was not transported to the hospital.
