Joliet, IL. – Two people were hospitalized after a fiery accident on Wednesday evening in Joliet, according to the Illinois State Police.
The accident happened at around 5:35 p.m. on May 13, on Interstate 80 at the Des Plaines River Bridge.
Police said two vehicles were involved in the accident. One of the cars was fully engulfed into flames after the collision.
Two persons were taken to the hospital with broken bones in their lower extremities.
Police closed all eastbound lanes at 5:50 p.m. following the crash.
The incident remains under investigation.
