2 Hurt After Multi-Car Accident on South Lincoln Avenue in Urbana

Urbana, IL. – Two drivers were hurt after a multi-vehicle accident on Saturday afternoon in Urbana, according to the Illinois Police Department.

The accident occurred at around 12:30 p.m. on May 2, in the 2300 block of Lincoln Avenue in Urbana.

Police said multiple vehicles including a motorcycle and an SUV crashed in unclear circumstances. The two had significant damage due to the crash.

The rider was taken to an area hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.

The SUV driver was hospitalized in a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police closed southbound Lincoln Avenue between Windsor Road and St. Mary’s Road to give way to an on-scene investigation. Drivers were asked to use alternative routes.
