Police said a Nissan Altima was heading northbound on June Street when they failed to yield at the junction hitting a blue Dodge Grand Caravan heading westbound on IL-16.

Jerseyville, IL. – Two people were hospitalized after a two-vehicle accident on Thursday afternoon in Jerseyville, according to the Jerseyville Police Department.
The crash occurred at 1:01 p.m. on March 19, at the IL-16 and June Street intersection.
Police said a Nissan Altima was heading northbound on June Street when they failed to yield at the junction hitting a blue Dodge Grand Caravan heading westbound on IL-16.
Multiple persons sustained non-life threatening injuries due to the collision.
Two people were taken to the hospital via ambulance.
The Jerseyville Police, a State Trooper with the Illinois State police, EMS, and Fire Departments responded to the crash site.
The incident remains under investigation.
