Chicago, IL. – Two Chicago police officers were injured after a traffic collision early Thursday morning in Chicago, according to the Chicago Police Department.

The accident happened at 1:31 a.m. December 11 in the 500 block of East Lower Wacker Drive downtown near DuSable Lake Shore Drive.

Police said the police officers were responding to a call in a marked police car when they attempted to avoid crashing into another vehicle and crashed into a raised center median.

The two officers were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.

No other cars were involved and no one else was hurt in the collision.
