Klickitat County, WA. – A 19-year-old man was killed after a traffic collision on Wednesday evening in Klickitat County, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The accident happened a while before 8:00 a.m. on June 24 on State Route 97 near Milepost 28.
Troopers said the 19-year-old man was heading northbound on SR 97 in a 2003 Ford F-350 when he slammed into the cab of a semi-truck with a trailer. The Ford rolled over and rested next to the guardrail.
The 19-year-old man was rushed to a hospital where he was declared dead.
The man was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
The semi-truck driver, a 64-year-old Stayton man, was injured in the collision. He was wearing a seatbelt at the time.
The two cars sustained significant damage in the accident.
