Vancouver, WA – Ten people were injured Wednesday evening in a hit-and-run accident in Vancouver, according to the police.

The accident was reported around 5:15 p.m. on August 6 at the intersection of Southeast Mill Plain Boulevard and 160th Avenue.

Police said a pickup truck ran a red light at the intersection and hit multiple cars.

One person was ejected from one of the cars.

At least ten people were injured in the accident. Two of them had serious injuries.

The driver of the pickup truck fled the scene and ran into a nearby apartment complex where he lived in the 17700 block of Southeast Mill Plain Boulevard. He had a gun, and the SWAT team was called in. He was found dead inside his apartment from what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. His name has not been released.

An investigation is ongoing.
