Central Peoria, IL. – One person was hospitalized after a three-vehicle accident on Monday morning in Central Peoria, according to the Peoria Fire Department.

The accident happened a while after 9:58 a.m. on September 1, in the 4000 block of North Sterling Avenue near the intersection with West Forrest Hill Avenue.

Fire officials arrived at the scene and found one person trapped inside one of the three vehicles involved. The individual was extricated using extraction tools.

The patient was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Two drivers were examined and released at the scene.
