Troy, IL. – One person was killed after a train accident on Saturday evening in Troy, according to the Madison County Sheriff’s Office.
The accident occurred at 10:15 p.m. on April 11 at West Mill Creek Road between South Liberty Road and Longhi Road.
Deputies said an individual was lying on the tracks for unknown reasons. The person tried to stand up upon hearing the train’s horn sound but was unable to get off the track on time and was hit.
