Two Polk County Fire Rescue medics in the ambulance were injured in the accident
Winter Haven, FL. – A woman died in a collision with an ambulance in Winter Haven on Tuesday morning.
According to local police, the accident happened on Spirit Lake Road at around 10 a.m.
The Florida woman was leaving the Winter Haven Oaks Retirement Community and was turning onto Spirit Lake Road when she crossed into the path of the southbound ambulance.
The woman was killed in the accident.
Two Polk County Fire Rescue medics in the ambulance were injured in the accident and were taken to the hospital for treatment.
More details about the accident were not released.
