Spokane, WA. – A man died after being struck by a semi-truck as he rode an electric scooter in Spokane early Saturday morning.

According to the Spokane Police Department, the accident happened around 2:20 a.m. in the area of Dalton Avenue and Division Street.

Two men were riding on the electric scooter on the sidewalk when the passenger lost his balance and fell into the road.

The passenger was struck by a semi-truck traveling in the same direction.

The unidentified passenger was pronounced dead at the accident scene.

The driver of the semi-truck remained at the scene and cooperated with the police.
