Kane County, IL. – One person was killed after a rollover collision on Tuesday morning in St. Charles Township in Kane County.
The accident happened on August 26 at Silver Glen Road and Old Homestead Road.
According to the Kane County Sheriff’s Office, a blue 2008 truck was heading eastbound on Silver Glen Road, when for unknown reasons, it drove off the roadway at the curve on Old Homestead Road and into a ditch where it overturned on its side.
The driver was critically injured and was later declared dead at the crash site.
Authorities closed the roadway briefly following the accident. The roadway has since reopened.
Witnesses said the truck approached the curve at a high rate of speed before overturning.
An investigation is underway.
